3 Weaving Milestones in 1 Day

That never happens to me.....Since it happened today, I just had to post about it!

Ta da!!! I have two shafts up and running on my Toika Liisa!! I just need to get a project on there now....but having the loom ready for a project is wonderful!!

I cut my tiny twill sample off the table loom.

Plus, I finished my tapestry!!!

I like to do a wrap-up post about each project - so you can be sure that more details are forthcoming on all three of these milestones!

Wow! What a day!

Wow, good for you! The tapestry looks great. You did a beautiful job with it. I tried tapestry once, I still have the little pitiful unfinished piece...somewhere.
I can hardly wait to see your Toika up and weaving.

Thanks! I'm really excited about the Toika!!

(And the tapestry ended up better than expected.....I was thinking I'd have to make a color apology....but it turned out OK using random bits of yarn.)

Weave on!!

The tapestry looks great, I guess you learned a lot! I have never tried tapestry, and right now I do not feel tempted either, I found the inlays on my rug hard enough... Thank you very much for the comment on bead leno and the link you left in my blog, it was very useful.

Yeah! All looks beautiful and I love the tapestry - random bits of yarn is a perfect use in tapestry.

So what's next????

Yes, congratulations on the Toika, I think you'll love it. Nice tapestry piece, makes me want to get a warp on a Glimakra "Sara" loom, but too many other priorities first, right now. Looking forward to seeing what you weave on the Toika Liisa.

I'm looking forward to seeing what I weave on the Toika Liisa too!!

Thanks for the award Deanna!! I will pass it along soon!

Charlotte - I'm glad that the bead leno link helped! A draft always makes things easier to understand!!

Weave on!
