Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon

Today we want to get from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon, so we'll be situated to do any last minute hike preparation.

Flagstaff is the last major shopping area we'll see, so we'll stock up on some hike essentials: Fritos for salt and Peanut Butter M&M's to power us through tough parts of the hike.

We're heading toward the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park because that route takes us past some sights we want to see on the way!

Once north of Flagstaff, it was impossible for us to find food or restaurants until we were north of Wupatki. We had some snacks with us, but we'd have brought lunch if we'd known it would be hard to buy food. We did find a deli in a supermarket in the Navajo reservation north of Sunset Crater and Wupatki, where we had a late lunch.
